The NAB applies the following procedural framework when handling complaints related to the activities of higher education institutions. The NAB has the competence to deal with matters concerning compliance with the Higher Education Act, the Government Regulation on standards for accreditation in higher education and other legal regulations in connection with provision of higher education. On the other hand, the NAB is not entitled to intervene in proceedings between higher education institutions and the student or to review the course of studies of individual students. The NAB does not act as an appeals body or a supreme body to higher education institutions.
